The memories of Zofia Kubar. Written almost 40 years after the war. Kubar's recollections portray the life of a Jewess on the Aryan side. She had to fight to survive, escape from blackmailers, face the horror of the Nazis. The book was written after the author struggled to fight cancer. The author's illness was in remission, but the doctors didn't know how much it will last. That is why she had to hurry because she wanted to finish this book before her death.
