The relations between Zofia and Danka are very good. At first Danka seemed prejudiced towards the Jews. She thought that they were greedy and selfish. But soon she became convinced that Zofia was great. Her feelings towards Zofia were more than liking, it was a kind of passionate devotion and intense love. She started treating Zofia like someone created for"higher things", someone better than the rest.
