  • A priest. He came from a relatively wealthy, Catholic, very religious peasant family, living in a village near Treblinka. Kazimierz was the youngest of four children. He finished gymnasium (junior high school) and a seminary in Warsaw. He was given a parish in Andrzejow near Lodz. During the war he organised the resistance movement in his village. He had to escape and went to Warsaw, where he joined units fighting in the uprising. After the uprising he hid in sewers, and then in a bunker together with seven Jews. He left the bunker after liberation, in January 1945. When the war was over he kept in touch with his fellows from the bunker. He lived in Andrzejow near Lodz.
