  • She was born as Dora Borensztajn. Before the war she lived with her family in Warsaw at Zelazna Street No 79 flat 12. At the end of October 1940, without previous planning, by chance she escaped from the ghetto to the 'Aryan side'. Initially she lived with an acquaintance - Janina Przybysz, later at Aleksander and Maria Jozwinski's flat. From 1940 not revealing her real identity she stayed in a reform school at Zytnia street and later at Hetmanska Street No 44. After having been recognized by a neighbour she was forced to change the place of living. From June 1943 she stayed in the Nuns' reform school in Czestochowa.
