Stefania Lange and her husband lived there in a seven-room apartment; immediately after invasion of the Germans three rooms were seized, Stefania used rest of the rooms for underground activities- in one of the rooms shoes for partisans were made, in other weapons were stored; from 1940 until February 1943 the Guranowskis family hid there; during the Warsaw uprising Stefania organized sanitary point in the apartment
