  • He went to Lvov in 1939. When the Germans came there in 1941 he went to Warsaw where he worked using his Polish documents. During the uprising in Warsaw in 1944 he worked as a medicine-man in the hospital of the Home Army (Armia Krajowa) at Szpitalna Street No. 4. He was killed there by a German bomb on the 4 September when he was carrying his wounded friend to the shelter. He is buried in the Jewish cemetery in Cracow.
