The author describes the deportation of Jews from Krosniewice, her stay in Piotrkow and subsequent activity in the Polish Workers' Party (PPR) in Warsaw. The footnotes feature brief profiles of some of the activists: Leokadia Staszewska from Piotrkow, Stanislaw Sowa from Warsaw, and 'Grandma' ('Babcia') Zabicka from Marymont, Warsaw.
