  • He executed Gestapo agents on behalf of the Jewish Fighting Organisation (ZOB). On 29 October 1942, together with Elek Rozanski he executed Jakub Lejkin. He participated in the first armed action in the ghetto on 18 January 1943. In the uprising, he was combat outfit commander of one of Haszomer Hacair units fighting near Nalewki, Zamenhofa and Mila Streets. He left the ghetto through the sewers on 10 May, crossed with others to Lomianki and later to a partisan unit in Wyszkow forest. He was commander of ten-people unit of Jews, who fought in the ranks of the Home Army (Armia Krajowa). Those fighters were probably murdered by Polish insurgents from NSZ (National Armed Forces) units.
