  • a member of the Jewish Military Union (ZZW), pseudonym 'Dudek'. In 1940 he left the ghetto and for a short time joined the partisans near Warsaw (Bystry's unit); escaped from the train to Majdanej, came back to the gheto; he was active in 'Betar'. In September 1942 he covered Karski in the ghetto; took part in the uprisings in 1943 and 1944; hid in the ruins of Warsaw until the liberation (in a 20-person group, his wife, Zofia, was also there). After the war he emigrated to Australia. His mother died in 1940, father and younger brother were murdered and the third of the brothers was sent to Auchwitz via the Hotel Polski
