  • A Pole; she helped Wladka by offering a post of seamstress to her. She knew that the girl was Jewish. When the author resigned from the job, Wanda Wnorowska employed Wladka's friends who escaped from the ghetto: Hancia Werkzweig-Ellenbogen, Rivka Rozenstein, Zoska Kersh, Helenka and Bronka from Piotrkow. Her house at Wspolna Street No. 39 was always open for the Jews; she helped mostly the Jews from Piotrkow. She had appropriate contacts, she got documents, work, hiding-places. In time she became a permanent co-worker of the Jewish Coordinating Committee (ZKK)
