Activist of the Bund, during the occupation he was a messenger between the Bund Central Committee and the Polish Socialist Party-Freedom, Equality, Independence (PPS-WRN). Since April 1942 he was on the 'Aryan side', he fought in the ranks of the Home Army (Armia Krajowa) in the Warsaw Uprising.
