  • The diary was found in Warsaw ruins in may 1945 by a Polish soldier. 1 page - dedication: Dedicated to my wife, Hadasa Okonowska, née Cynkin. Sewek Okonowski. Warsaw, 'Aryan district'. 25 September 1943. A longhand difficult to read. The author describes his remorse on the 'Aryan side'. Longing for his wife. Written between 20 August and 20 September 1943. One entire part of the diary is addressed to his wife; they were in Slonim at the beginning of the war, reminisces about shared happy life - petty arguments, reconciliation. Very intimate. The English summary of the diary made by dr H. Dasko's brother 40 years after the liquidation of Jews in Kalisz.
