  • born on 29 January 1931 in Warsaw. Had a younger brother, was descended from a wealthy family, as her father owned a furniture company before the war. The company was destroyed during the war. Fryderyka was locked in the ghetto with her mother and her younger brother. In the first days of the uprising she managed to escape via Okecie, through a road, to the countryside - during the next three months she wandered from one village to another, but she didn't stay long anywhere in fear of being recognised. In July 1943 she stayed in Jastrzebie village at Jozefa Borowska and her son Zygmunt's house, where she received a false name - 'Kamienska'. She lived there until August 1946. On pages 5-6 she described her lot after the war - the Jewish Committee's help in finding her mother's family, her stay in 'Srodborowianka' near Warsaw, orphanage in Helenowek, work and study in Dzierzoniow, return to Warsaw, where she stayed with Anna Witecka - her friend from 'Srodborowianka'. Fryderyka was Irenka Apfelbaum's friend. Currently she lives at Madalinskiego Street No. 67, flat 13. Her ID number is SJ 5445250.
