in May 1939 he passed secondary school-leaving exam, at the beginning of the war he worked as surveyor's assistant in the Technical Department of the Municipal Board, he was in the ghetto at Franciszkanska Street No. 7 with his parents and brother. He was deported twice to labour camps in Skarzysko and Czestochowa. From August 1941 he was on the 'Aryan side', his brother and mother also survived.
