  • Engineer Cukier's from Kalisz only daughter. She gets to the ghetto in Warsaw together with her family. In the ghetto she works in a glue and ink plant. She loses all her family at the Umschlagplatz. Hidden on the 'Aryan side' by her grandmother's servant, Marysia and her friends. In September she married Anek Lewicki. On the fifth day of the uprising Anek gets killed, Liliana becomes a widow. After getting expelled from Warsaw she lives in Pyry with her husband's family. After coming back to Warsaw she lives in Mokotow at the sister-in-law's, Kazia, together with Marysia - the former grandmother's, Maria Cukier, servant. After leaving to Kalisz she gets back the flat after her grandmother Maria, she maintain herself and Marysia by alternations. In December 1945 she escapes to Berlin. From there she emigrates to the USA and next to Central America. In El Salvador she meets Bernard Shepard and in December 1952 she gets married. She has two daughters: Emily Ann and Susan. Soon after the marriage she moves to the United States with her family.
