  • Sophie is convinced that David and Micki are on their way to France, she thinks that she will never see them again. This thought causes her excruciating pain, a pain she has never experienced. At least they are going to be safe, at least they will survive. Suddenly Sophie is ordered upstairs - Wanda has arrived for a visit. She tells Sophie that David and Micki are still at the Hotel Polski and they are waiting for her to take the next transport. If everything goes well Sophie will join them soon. She can't believe it!
