  • W szpitalu na Gęsiej znajduje się duży schron na 130 osób, schron zbudowany jest z 16 odkopanych piwnic. W każdej piwniczce jest ok. 10 osób, jest magazyn z żywnością, kuchnia, apteka, 2 ubikacje, gaz, woda, elektryczność, radio, prycze 2-osobowe. Kierownictwo schronu ma 2 pistolety. W nocy z 18 na 19 kwietnia lekarze szpitala, ostrzeżeni przez bojowców o otoczeniu getta, ukryli ok. 100 chorych w kryjówkach na piętrach. 21 kwietnia na terenie szpitala zjawił się Konrad i namawiał za pośrednictwem jednego z lekarzy do wyjazdu do Poniatowa. Wyznaczył termin do godz. 12. Wyszło ok. 20 osób, głównie tych spoza schronu. 24 kwietnia 43 szpital został podpalony.
