For many years he was a caretaker in the Orphanage in Krochalna Street. He ran a carpenter's workshop, he was invited as a counselor at the meetings of the tutors. After transferring the Orphanage to the ghetto he was forced - as 'Aryan' to part with the Orphanage. He was killed during the Warsaw uprising, shot at the yard of the Orphanage.

He was hold in high esteem by Korczak.
