a famous Jewish actress; the second wife of the Joint (American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee) director. She was, with his husband, arrested a few days before the First Liquidation Action in the Warsaw ghetto as the citizen of a foreign country with a fake passport. Shot with a group of Jews at Pawiak in 1942.
