  • He studied in Lodz, in the chemistry department. He lived in Radomska Street. Samek was in the ghetto in Lodz and in Warsaw. At the end he was also on the 'Aryan side'. Together with his mother he hid in Julia Larisz' flat in Praga, Brzeska Street No. 7, and next in Mr and Mrs Niewierowski's flat at Franciszkanska Street No. 7, who later on moved to Praga, to Stolarska Street No. 6. Samek took part in the Warsaw uprising. After the uprising had ended, he hid together with Chana, six Jews and a priest in a bunker under the house at Franciszkanska Street No. 7. He left the bunker in January 1945. After the war Samek married Chana. They had a child (in 1959 it was 12). After the war they moved to France.
