  • The author's close friend. Before the war he was a rich merchant and businessman, took care of the writers writing in Hebrew. Lived in a magnificent apartment in Niecala Street. During the German occupation of Warsaw he had to move out of the apartment in three hours. In August 1940 lived with his sister in a 16-square-metre room. His daughter and son-in-law left him and went to Russia.
