  • She ran away from the ghetto together with her husband and daughter. She rented a room in Chmielna Street near Zelazna Street as an 'Aryan'; she hid her husband in a wardrobe there. In autumn 1943 she was caught; led by the Gestapo she fell under a tram and her leg got cut; it had to be amputated in hospital. Roma survived the war; in July 1946 she left with her husband and daughter to France. Roma's husband died several months later, because his health was critical after the war experiences.
