  • Żydzi sądzili, że oficjalne ustanowienie getta sprawi, że ich życie stanie się nieco lżejsze: będą bezpieczni u siebie. Znów zostali zaskoczeni. W całym mieście nie ma sposobniejszego miejsca do napaści i morderstw w biały dzień niż ulice getta: aryjczycy się stąd wyprowadzili, a Niemcy nie krępują się wobec Żydów, których nie traktują jak ludzi.
