  • W getcie w-skim czynne były konspiracyjne uniwersyteckie kursy medyczne. Działały one pod przykrywką walki przeciw epidemiom. Jednym z twórców tych kursów był światowej sławy bakteriolog, epidemiolog prof. Ludwik Hirszfeld. Studiowało na tych kursach 500 studentów. W pracach ze studentami brało udział ponad 30 doktorów medycyny, z najlepszych w getcie.
