Zofia została z matką i malutkim synkiem w mieszkaniu rodziców na ul. Nowogrodzkiej. Gdy to mieszkanie zostało zbombardowane, przeniosły się na Koszykową. Na początku listopada mężczyźni wrócili do Warszawy.
