  • A Polish peasant, lived in the village of Liw in the Warsaw Province. Collected one after another with Kaplan's diary from Rubinsztejn and hid them. After the war he worked as a mason in the ruins of the ghetto and discovered the Ringelblum's Archive II and forwarded it to the Jewish Historical Institute. In 1962 he emigrated with his wife to USA; in New York he presented a letter of recommendation from professor Marek from the Jewish Historical Institute and an old envelope with several Kaplan's notebooks. He claimed that he had found them just before the departure in his father farm in a tin secured with wax. In this way the Diary found its place in the Library of Judaica and Hebraica at the University of New York.
