  • A young engineer, for many years worked for the Bund, an activist of a Jewish sports organisation - Morgenstern. Escorted Wladka (a messenger) to the 'Aryan side'. Lived with the Machaj family of four at Gornoslaska Street No. 3. After Jurek Wilner had been arrested, he took over his responsibilities on the 'Aryan side' (buying weapons for the ghetto). As a courier he transported weapons, dispatches, letters and underground press to the ghetto many times. In January 1943 he constructed his first incendiary bomb - a bottle. Arrested on the 'Aryan side' before the Uprising and sent to the ghetto, escaped from a transport to Treblinka. Died during the Uprising because he covered a machine gun with his own body so that others could go through.
