He graduated from the university in Lvov and Vienna, a German philologist, the former headmaster of a high school in Lodz. All the time in the ghetto he was the personal manager of ZTOS (Jewish Social Welfare Association). Near the end of his life he suffered from typhus, he died shot in the street.
