  • Her father was a shop owner. Cywia completed Polish Primary school. She was engaged in the He-Halutz movement, was Dror's member. In 1928, she moved to Warsaw and there she was active in the He-Halutz central committee. In 1939, she was a delegate to the World Zionist Congress in Geneva. She returned to Warsaw in the end of August. She was in Lvov to January 1940, then she arrived in Warsaw. She constructed the underground resistance organisation in the ghetto. During the uprising, she was in the Jewish Fighting Organisation (ZOB) command. On 10 May, she left through the sewers on the 'Aryan side.' She hid, among other places, at Panska Street No. 5 and Leszno Street No. 18. She participated in the Warsaw Uprising, she fought in a People's Army (Armia Ludowa) unit in the Old Town. After the uprising, she hid in Promyka Street No. 43 and other places. In 1946, she left for the Zionist Congress in Basel and from there, to Palestine. She lived in the Ghetto Fighters House/Beit Lohamey Hagetaot.
