  • A labour camp in the period of German occupation; to 1945 - German name of the town - Olsztynek in East Prussia, was named after Gunter von Hohenstein, the Ostroda Komtur, and in 1359 was given city rights. After the outbreak of the war, the town was changed from the rally place to POW's camp Stalag I B Hohenstein. In 1945, Olsztynek was within the Polish borders.
