Grandfather of Stefan Carter- the author of the memoirs. He lived in Warsaw at Elektoralna Street. He and his wife Dora had sons: Waclaw and Wladyslaw and daughters Stanislawa and Maryla. He worked in a bank. During the war he was in the ghetto. He died in the ghetto in 1941.
