  • During the occupation the seat of the Warsaw District Head - L. Fischer; before the war it was the seat of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; [the history: 1641 - the palace of Jerzy Ossolinski, the Great Royal Chancellor; in Warsaw; after 1681 the palace was rebuilt for the Great Royal Marshal - Jozef Karol Lubomirski (designed by Tylman Van Gameren); in 18th century the palace was the property of Sanguszko Princes; during the reign of August III the palace was bought by the royal favorite - Henryk von Bruehl (died in 1763), the palace was rebuilt on his commission in 40-s of 18th century; later the palace was the property of the successive private owners: in 1767 a Russian ambassador - Mikolaj Repnin lived there, in 1787 the palace became the Treasury's property, it became the property of Warsaw Town Hall; in 1882 The Main Telegraph Office was installed there (the building was defaced and rebuilt inside, the Telegraph worked there till 30-s of 20th century); later the vandalized building was rebuilt for the representative seat of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (the project of B. Pniewski).
