  • September 1939 she spent in Warsaw. From 13 October 1939 she lived in Lodz. From 25 December 1939 she lived with her family again in Warsaw in Sienna Street No. 1941. From April 1941 she learnt how to sew clothes for children at courses organised by the Society to Propagate Labour. From June 1941 she took lessons on playing the violin from professor Kellerman. From 26 December 1941 she lived in Chlodna Street No. 10. On 17 July 1942 she was interned with her family at Pawiak. As a daughter of an American citizen (mother) she was on the list of people to be exchanged for German prisoners of war. On 18 January 1943 she left Pawiak with her family and other citizens of South American and the USA citizens. From 22 January 1943 she was in Vittel. On 1 of March 1944 she was sent to America and on 15 of March she arrived with her family to New York.
