    '9 December 1939 - Julek is ruined. His wife keeps weeping. 14 December 1939 - Julek - accessories. 13 December 1942 - Julek Poznanski tells a story about how he came once to Andrzej Rotwand, asking him for pension for his mother (his father worked for 35 years in Rotwand's bank). Rotwand didn't give him a penny, asserting that the bank is poor. Julek sent his mother cheques to her death, concealing that it was him, who paid her. She thought she gets the pension form the bank.'
