before the war he was the general secretary of Agudat Israel in Poland and he headed orthodox schooling; he was a talented journalist, the editor of orthodox magazines and simultaneously a Hebrew lecturer; as a representative, the leading activist of the orthodox 'Agudat Israel' he belonged to The Social Council of the JOINT ([American] Jewish Distribution Committee) in the Warsaw ghetto; he also headed religious-orthodox schools in the Warsaw ghetto; he died in one of camps in the Lublin region
