Wera - miała siostrę Stefanię i młodsze rodzeństwo: bliźnięta brata i siostrę, niańka Niemka - Reichsdeutschka - wychowywała te dzieci. Przychodzili do ich sklepu - bufet ŻDA prowiantował się w sklepie autorki - ona przychodziła co tydzień, dwa - rozliczała się z Firstem. 09-39 First był oficerem w wojsku polskim. Z nadejściem Niemców - wpadł do nich do domu, przebrał się w cywilne ubranie i dopiero poszedł do DA. Po śmierci Firsta żona przeszła z córeczką na AR i uratowała się dzięki niańce Niemce- po wojnie cała rodzina w Berlinie.

    Izrael Fürst został zastrzelony na ulicy w getcie (przez żydowskie podziemie).

    Szef departamentu ekonomicznego Gminy, postać dobrze znana w kręgach żydowskich jeszcze przed wojną. Jako administrator Hostelu dla Studentów Żydowskich stosował konsekwentne i brutalne metody w ściganiu opłat od wierzycieli. Studenci byli wyrzucani na ulice. Na stanowisko w Radzie powołał go Marek Lichtenbaum. Został szefem Departamentu Ekonomicznego - specjalizował się w zaopatrywaniu Niemców we wszelkie dobra.
    Został zabity w getcie.

    Były intendent Żydowskiego Domu Akademickiego na Pradze, w czasie okupacji kierownik Wydziału Gospodarczego Gminy.[zamieszkały] - Okrąg 3-b/7 (wg. spisu Czerniakowa pod datą 19.07.40.["29 listopada 1942 ŻOB wydała wyrok śmierci na znienawidzonego w getcie zdrajcę, (...) agenta wroga, Izraela Firsta, który był łącznikiem między władzami niemieckimi a Judenratem i "złym duchem" Czerniakowa. Zamach został wykonany w chwili, kiedy First wracał na rikszy ze strony aryjskiej od swoich mocodawców czy też z zabawy. Wyrok wykonał członek ŻOB Dawid Szulman".     Szwagierka Israela Fürsta, Stephanie Druc, podaje w swojej relacji, że we wrześniu 1939 r. Izrael poszedł do polskiego wojska, i wrócił dopiero po kilku tygodniach. Mógł przejść z wojskiem do Rumunii, ale postanowił wrócić do Warszawy, żeby zaopiekować się rodziną.
