  • Kiedy autorka zrezygnowała z pracy, aby poświęcić cały czas działalności podziemnej, Wanda Wnorowska przyjęła na jej miejsce jej przyjaciółki, którym udało się wydostać z getta: Hancię Werkzweig-Ellenbogen, Rivkę Rozenstein, Zośkę Kersh, Helenkę i Bronkę z Piotrkowa. Traktowała je serdecznie i płaciła dość dobrze. Zaprzyjaźniła się z pracownicami, pomagała im kontaktując z innymi Polakami, z czasem została współpracownikiem ŻKK.
