In the Warsaw Ghetto in 1942 he became a member of an underground organisation whose aim was to fight with the Germans. When actions were becoming more frequent his wife and children managed to cross to the 'Aryan' side. Soon the four of them moved in with a Polish woman - an acquaintance from before the war. When they ran out of money Stanislaw had to look for a job. Being a Pole he got a job as a locksmith. An owner of the company produced appropriate papers for Stanislaw. It seemed possible for him to survive the war with his family and without dangers. One day, while he was coming home from work, the janitor of the house warned him by saying that the flat he lived in had been emptied by the Gestapo. Until the outbreak of the Warsaw Uprising he was in hiding in his workplace. Took part in the Warsaw Uprising. Died during one of the battles.
