He was the head of the kibbutz at Nalewki Street No. 23. He was sent with a mission to Krakow and Czestochowa at the end of 1942; liaised between ZOB (the Jewish Fighting Organization) and Armia Krajowa (the Home Army). Arrested by the Gestapo in March 1942; despite the tortures he did not turn anybody in. He managed to escape from the labour camp in Rembertow.
