A member of the Polish Workers' Party (PPR), nickname Michal Bialy, a student and chemist. Commander of combat groups of the People’s Guard (Gwardia Ludowa) in July 1942, one of the commanders of the ghetto uprising. On 7 May in the bunker at Mila Street No. 18 he was almost killed with gas. Luckily he was saved, Polish companions took him to the 'Aryan side' through the sewers.
